Fríd, aka Sigfríð, is a young Icelandic, self-styled electro-pop producer, with grit, determination and just a little darkness.

Powerful, emotive lyrics are backed-up by experimentation in synth & sound with the Roland Juno-DS. Layering, mixing, glitching.

From writing songs in her bedroom as a teenager, the project has evolved with Fríd now an accomplished solo-producer and songwriter - compared to the likes of BANKS & Charli XCX - all set for the rescheduled 2020 Secret Solstice this summer.

THE STORY SO FAR:

- Favourite of Ja Ja Ja & Spotify editorial, collecting several prominent playlists

- Feature Icelandic live sessions for RÚV (Stúdíó 12) and Ske (Sýrland Sessions)

- Played Iceland Airwaves, 2019 ("one to watch" by Reykjavík Grapevine)

- Played the Hun Solo Female Artist Showcase at Spot Festival, 2019

RIGHT NOW:

Fríd is preparing to release new material, with a digital A/B lined up for release soon (private link here) as well as a brilliant EP all ready to follow.

A singer-songwriter. A storyteller. An artist that bares all.

Experiences are woven into Ásta's songs like needle and thread. Some painful; all deeply personal. She's even won Album of the Year at the Iceland Music Awards

(folk category.) As well as nominations for Song of the Year & Female Singer.

Iceland Airwaves voted Ásta as their Best New Artist, and she's set for the 2021 edition.

Even the name Ásta itself, comes from the Icelandic for love, ‘Ást’. And with every lyric written, every strum of the guitar, Ásta puts all her heart into this beckoning music career.

THE STORY SO FAR:

- Best New Artist - Iceland Airwaves, 2019

- 3rd Place - Músíktilraunir, 2019 (Music Experiments Competition)

- Nominations for Female Singer, Song of the Year - Iceland Music Awards, 2020

Music is the raft that carries Jelena Ćirić on the shifting currents of home and identity.

Born in Serbia and raised in Canada, having set up home in Iceland, Jelena released the EP 'Shelters one' to fantastic fanfare online & offline late last year. With features from Folk UK, Get In Her Ears & Great Dark Wonder and more.

Icelandic National Broadcaster RÚV were huge fans of lead track 'Lines', playing out across their network, as well as the highly regarded, indie radio station Amazing Radio in the UK & US.

THE STORY SO FAR:

- Featured on the New Music Iceland editorial Spotify playlist with debut release.

- Featured as one of the best tracks (Lines) of 2020 by Icelandic outlet Straumur

- "A staggering first presentation of an artist whose name we will all be a lot more familiar with before too long" - Alex Gallacher, FRUK

RIGHT NOW:

2nd EP 'Shelters two' is ready in waiting - set to be released when more live performance is possible - to take Jelena onwards as a 2021 breakthrough artist.
